Georgia Tech Prevails over FSU with game-winning shocker

Praise all the engineering gods, the Georgia Tech has finally broken their five-game losing streak by defeating number 9 Florida State, 22-16.
The punch line of this fairytale was the blocked field goal attempt by Patrick Gamble return by the overnight celebrity stud, Lance Austin, for a touchdown. While the cheers from the crowd could be heard for miles, Austin took a moment to dedicate his touchdown to his late grandmother, Louise, as he crossed the goal line.
"I just know when I looked over my shoulder, I didn't see anybody on my backside," Austin told ESPN.com on Sunday. "So I picked it up and started running” (per Matt Fortuna, ESPN Staff Writer).
The game-winning shocker was able to overcome the two early interceptions thrown by Justin Thomas giving a quick 10 point lead for Florida State in the first quarter. Nevertheless, Tech never lost hope in their ability to overcome the Seminoles 28 straight victories over ACC opponents. With 54 seconds left Thomas made a huge play when he threw to Harrison Butker for 35-yarder that tied the game.

America’s Rivalry is back when the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys at home this Sunday. It will be the 108th time meeting with the Cowboys taking last year’s win, 31-28. Both teams are hoping to have keys stars, Odell Beckham Jr. and Dez Bryant, put on another amazing performance like they did last fall.
Although Beckham has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury, he has made it known that it will be difficult to keep him off the field. Of course, Bryant’s status is still questionable while he continues to rehab a broken foot from the season-opening 27-26 win over the Giants.
Last year, Bryant finished with seven catches for 86 yards and two scores, including the game-winner. Beckham wasn’t far behind when the, then rookie, broke the ice into NFL stardom with 10 catches for 146 yards, two touchdowns – with one being his memorable one-handed catch that took social media by storm.

Per David Helman, Staff Writer of DallasCowboys.com, Beckham said, “It’s something that is not in the moment right now. It’s something that kind of happened in the past… We try and leave it in the past, but, this being Giants-Cowboys and that being that moment that it was, it always seems to find its way back up.”
